José has a 20+ year career in human resources, organizational development, and quality management, mainly ISO 9000. He has executive experience in both business and public management. More recently, he has lead large-scale change projects using whole-system change methods such as future search, participative work redesign and appreciative inquiry for diverse organizations in Mexico and Latin America.
Some of his cases have been published in Research in Organizational Change and Development, ISO Management Review, Management Today en Español, The Handbook of Large Group Methods (forthcoming), and the GLOBE Research Group (forthcoming). José obtained his B.A. degree from ITESO University in Mexico, his M.A. in industrial relations from Michigan State University, and he is a PhD candidate in organization development from Benedictine University in Chicago. His thesis: The Leading Business Companies in Mexico 1985-2005: Survivors and Out performers of Global Markets.
