Alex Haimerl has facilitated numerous training and consultancy projects for a wide variety of corporations in the U.S., Europe, Middle East, Asia, and Africa. He puts his focus on intercultural and international aspects in Executive Leadership Development and Team Development, Collaboration, Post-Merger Integration, Inclusive Leadership, and Marketing & Sales Strategies, including New Product Development and Product Planning.
Prior to his current post with ICM Consulting, he gained broad international experience. During the early 1990s he lived in Japan to complete his studies on international marketing and gained his first working experience with BASF Japan, a leading German chemical corporation.
Until 1998 Alex held several management positions with Johnson Controls, a major US-based transnational automotive tier-1 supplier. He was responsible for New Product Development and Product Planning within the European organization.
He co-founded and became managing director of ecco marketing services GmbH in 1998. The marketing agency focusses on strategic international marketing and sales consultancy, serving a wide array of North-American, Japanese, German and other European customers.
Alex joined ICM Consulting in 2003 to leverage his international corporate and team leader experience. As facilitator, coach and consultant, he has extensive experience working on 4 continents with entry to C-level employees of Fortune 500, DAX 30 clients as well as small- and mid- size “Hidden Champions”.
His corporate experience contributes to his training and consultancy work by combining proven practical experience with the latest training and consultancy theories. Continuous training and development measures in the U.S. and Europe, together with extended stays in the U.S. and Asia, ensure a consistency in service and up-to-date know-how.
Alex is a fully certified practitioner for the Cultural Navigator, for the MBTI Step I and Step II instruments, FIRO-B, Booth Task Cycle, and a certified facilitator for Inclusive Leadership. He is also accredited as a Situational Leadership® and Lead 360 Program Trainer and certified in the Thomas-Kilmann Conflict Mode Instrument (TKI) and Hogan Assessments. His coach education has been with the International Coach Academy (ICA).
Alex is bi-lingual in German and English with additional knowledge in Japanese, French and Italian. He studied in Germany and the US, holding a Master Degree in Human Resources and Marketing and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree. He currently resides close to Munich, Germany.
